Dr. Michelle Meersand earned her B.S. at Brooklyn College, City University of New York in 1981. She studied in Bologna, Italy in 1982. She received a Master of Letters at Drew University in 1985. She attended New York University College of Dentistry 1987-1991.
Dr. Meersand earned her Certificate in Periodontics from New York University College of Dentistry Post Graduate Division in 1993. She has been in private practice on Staten Island since her graduation.
Dr. Allen Heller graduated cum laude and earned his B.A. at Queens College, City University of New York in 1974. He graduated New York University College of Dentistry in 1977. He received his Certificate in Periodontics from New York University College of Dentistry Post Graduate Division in 1979. As an Assistant Professor in Periodontics, he taught full time in the Undergraduate Division at New York University College of Dentistry from 1979 to 1980. Dr. Heller became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, in 1993. Dr. Heller was the first periodontist on Staten Island to have achieved Diplomate status. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor and teaches weekly in the Ashman Department of Implant Dentistry New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Heller has been on staff at Beth Israel Medical Center since 1981. He has articles published in the Journal of Periodontology and the New York State Dental Journal. He has been in private practice on Staten Island since 1981. He is an active member of the Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegraion, American Dental Association, NYS Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society.
