Drs. Heller and Meersand held a continuing education meeting on April 13, 2011
for over 40 Staten Island general dentists. The presentation reviewed the restoration of dental implants - "The Three A's of Abutment Selection". The lecturer was Dr. Scott Ganz.
Dr. Ganz is a national and international speaker on the topic of implant restorations. Everyone who attended was excited with the seminar!
Dr. Meersand arranged 4 meetings this year for the South Shore Study Club. The SSSC is the largest and longest standing study group on Staten island. It has over 60 active members.
Drs. Heller & Meersand strongly believe in the importance of continuing education in order to provide the highest quality of care for their patients!
Dr. Meersand arranged an evening presentation on November 14, 2011 for the South Shore Study Club. The topic was Recent Advances in Adhesion Dentistry. The next club meeting will review advances in regeneration of lost bone in extraction sockets for future implant placement.
Drs. Heller & Meersand will be attending the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Implant Symposium meeting which will be held at Columbia University on December 9-10, 2011.
Dr Heller was reappointed as an Assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry for the 2011--2012 academic year. He has been on staff for over 10 years in the Post Graduate Division.
