AAP "Love The Gums You're With" campaign making a big impression!
Previously we alerted you to the launch of "Love the Gums You’re With", the Academy’s first large-scale public relations awareness effort intended to spread the word about periodontal disease and the crucial role of the periodontist in maintaining periodontal health. The multi-faceted campaign kicked off with a jam-packed two-day media tour in New York City, featuring notable television personality Chris Harrison. Harrison, best known as host of ABC’s "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," is highly recognizable as a love guru of sorts, and was able to impart the value of establishing a healthy relationship with your gums.

Drs. Heller and Meersand arranged 4 advanced continuing education meetings in the fall for over 60 Staten Island general dentists in the South Shore Study Club. The South Shore Study Club is the largest and longest standing dental study group on Staten Island.
Dr. Meersand is the Secretary of the club and is responsible for its continuing education schedule.
Drs. Heller & Meersand strongly believe in the importance of continuing education in order to provide the highest quality of care.
Dr. Heller just completed his Recertification to the American Board of Periodontology.
He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 1993.
Both Drs. Heller & Meersand were reappointed as Attendings at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC.
